Alanco-Alamatic can make and supply virtually any size of brake disc to a customer's precise specification.
Industrial disc brakes can be made from either cast iron or from steel in which ever grade the customer specifies.
Cast iron brake discs
Generally we use grade 17 cast iron for our cast iron brake discs and S.G.Iron 420/12 for
our ventilated cast iron discs.
Steel brake discs
Steel disc brakes can be supplied using any grade of steel required - we usually use EN8 stress relieved.
