Manually applied disc brakes

Four manual/handwheel brakes are available ranging from the ALA1 which is the smallest for light duties, to the DP for heavy duty applications.

These brakes are generally used for stopping, holding and tension duties where there is no air supply available.
As with the air applied pivoted arm style brakes these manual versions are available with two mounting options, foot mounted or single bolt fixing.

 ALA 1

The ALA 1 is the smallest of the pivoted arm style of brake

This brake is designed to work on small diameter discs 13mm thick. Two mounting versions are available, vertical (foot mounted as shown) or horizontal (single bolt fixing)

ALA 2 & 5

A larger version of the ALA 1 brake. Two brake chambers available (Type 2 & 5) depending on performance requirements.

Also designed to work on a 13mm diameter disc. Mounting options as ALA 1

SP

The SP range of brakes are more powerful than the ALA 2 & 5
Designed to work on 13mm of 25mm thick discs, with a minimum diameter of 200mm

Designed to work on 25mm or 50mm thick discs.
